Child Safety Standards
EXPOTIMES Co., Ltd. (the "Company") publishes these child safety standards to protect minors from sexual abuse and exploitation on the ExpoTimes mobile app and website (the "Service"). If this English version differs from the Korean version, the Korean version prevails.
Article 1 (Prohibition of child sexual abuse and exploitation)
The Company does not tolerate child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). The following content and conduct are prohibited everywhere in ExpoTimes, including visit logs, comments, profiles, venue lounge chat and messages.
- Posting, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material (CSAM)
- Text, images or video that sexualize minors or depict them in a sexual way
- Grooming, or any attempt to approach, solicit or arrange to meet a minor for sexual purposes
- Promoting or glorifying the sexual abuse or exploitation of minors
ExpoTimes is a service for sharing expo and trade-show information and visit logs, and is not directed at children. Users who engage in prohibited conduct will have the content removed and their account permanently suspended.
Article 2 (In-app reporting and what happens next)
- In-app reporting: users can report a visit log, a message (including venue lounge chat) or another user using the report function in the app. Users can also block other users.
- Email: you can raise child safety concerns at expotimes@expotimes.io.
When a report is received, the Company handles it as follows.
- Reports that may involve a minor are prioritized and reviewed by our staff.
- If a violation is confirmed, the content is removed or hidden without delay, and the responsible account is suspended or permanently banned.
- Information about the reporter is not used for any purpose other than handling the report.
Article 3 (Handling of CSAM)
- When CSAM is identified, the content is removed immediately and the account that posted it is permanently terminated.
- As required by law, the Company reports it to law enforcement and competent authorities and organizations, such as the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the United States and the Korean National Police Agency and Korea Communications Standards Commission, and preserves and provides information needed for investigations to the extent permitted by law.
- The Company does not investigate by opening, copying or forwarding CSAM beyond the minimum review needed to confirm a report.
Article 4 (Compliance with child safety laws)
The Company complies with the child safety laws that apply where the Service is provided. This includes the Republic of Korea's Act on the Protection of Children and Juveniles from Sexual Abuse, the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, and the Telecommunications Business Act (obligations to remove and prevent distribution of illegal filmed material), as well as the child safety policies of app stores such as Google Play.
